2020 Ford Mustang Highlights
The 2020 Ford Mustang received a few upgrades for the new
model year. There is an optional performance package that boosts the horsepower
and adds a fully active quad-tip exhaust. FordPass Connect is also standard
equipment on all models.
2020 Mustang Engine & Performance
You have four engine options with the 2020 Ford Mustang. The
base motor is a 310-horsepower 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder, found on the
EcoBoost trims. A new package tunes this engine to 330 horsepower and adds an
active exhaust, upgraded brakes, a limited-slip differential, enhanced
steering, as well as front and rear sway bars. There is also a 460-horsepower
5.0-liter V8 engine, 480-horsepower V8, and 526-horsepower 5.2-liter V8. The
Shelby GT500 supercharges the engine to pump out 760 horsepower. These engines
come either paired to a six-speed manual or ten-speed automatic transmission.
