2023 Ford Bronco: New Trim Levels and Packages are on the Horizon

What's New with the 2023 Bronco from 2022?

The 2023 Ford Bronco Heritage Edition is the new lineup's biggest upgrade. These off-road SUVs offer a heritage look from the 1960s. It's based on the Big Bend trim equipped with the Sasquatch package with its 300-horsepower 2.3-liter motor and option between transmissions. The styling includes a white roof, 60s-inspired wheel designs, and a white grille. Additionally, there will be a limited-edition Bronco DR that's set up for desert racing and a new Hoss 3.0 Package that takes the Wildtrak to new heights.

Release Date

The 2023 Ford Bronco will arrive in New Mexico this fall. You can pre-order a new Bronco at Phil Long Ford of Raton today. 

Engine

Choose a 2023 Ford Bronco with a standard 300-horsepower turbo 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine or an upgrade with the available 330-horsepower twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 motor. There's a ten-speed automatic transmission available with both engines, or you can choose the seven-speed manual when you choose the smaller motor.

Performance & MPG

With no major changes to the powertrain options, the fuel economy figures should remain the same as the 2022 Bronco. We are looking at 20/22 mpg when using the standard motor and 19/20 mpg if you opt for the V6.

Exterior & Colors

The 2023 Ford Bronco SUV models should still measure 174-189″ L x 76-79″ W x 72-75″ H. You can choose this model with a two- or four-door configuration, along with an optional soft top design. Top off the design with 16-, 17-, or 18-inch wheels, plus a selection of bright new colors. 

Interior & Seating

With the two- or four-door 2023 Ford Bronco, you get two rows of seats, but the four-door configuration has more space inside. Still, you should be able to fit five people in either Ford SUV. 

Cargo Capacity

The 2023 Ford Bronco cargo space changes with the model chosen. If you opt for the two-door SUV, you gain 22.4 cubic feet in the rear, with a maximum of 52.3 cubic feet when the back seats are folded down. The numbers change to 38.3 and 83 cubic feet if you prefer the four-door soft top. Not too different from the four-door hardtop that provides 35.6 and 77.6, respectively. With the right equipment, the payload rating should be around 1,513 pounds. 

Towing Capacity

The 2023 Ford Bronco is designed for towing up to 3,500 pounds. If you prefer to drive the Raptor trim, you may be able to get a higher tow rating, up to 4,500 pounds. 

Drivetrain & Suspension

Every 2023 Ford Bronco comes standard with four-wheel drive. There are plenty of off-road options if you want to explore the trails. Consider the 35" mud-terrain tires, an electronic locking differential, the sway-bar disconnect feature, or bead-lock capable wheels.
