The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport has a starting price tag of $26,660 for the base model. There are 5 total trim levels for the Bronco Sport: Base ($26,660), Big Bend ($28,160), Outer Banks ($32,160), Badlands ($32,660), and First Edition ($38,500). However, it's possible to see a hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or ST version of the Bronco Sport in the future.

2021 Jeep Renegade Price & Trims

There will be at least four trim levels available with the 2021 Jeep Renegade and should closely match what we saw in 2020. The 2020 Renegade came with several trims (Sport, Jeepster, Upland, Latitude, Altitude, Limited, Trailhawk, High Altitude) and two special edition models (Orange Edition, North Edition). We expect the starting price of the new Renegade to be around $23,000 (est.).

The new Ford Bronco Sport is expected to have a stylish, sleek cabin with enough room for 5 people. We anticipate numerous standard features, such as dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and more. Since the new Ford SUV has the classic Bronco-like box shape, rear cargo space and headroom won't be a problem. There is a total of 65.2 cubic-feet of cargo space in the Bronco Sport.

The 2021 Jeep Renegade has room to hold five occupants. You will find 18.5 cubic feet of room behind the rear seats and 50.8 cubic feet when the seats are folded down. Standard features inside the new Renegade include the Uconnect infotainment system, a five-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, voice control, a USB port, and a six-speaker sound system.

Our Ford Bronco Sport comparison shows the exterior dimensions to be 172.7"L x 74.3" W x 70.2-74.4" H. The exterior size of the Bronco Sport is not as long as the Ford Escape, but it features almost the same width and stands a little taller. The Ford Edge is wider and longer, but not as tall. The exterior dimensions of the 2021 Jeep Renegade will measure 167″ L x 74″ W x 67″ H (same as 2020). Owners will have access to 16-, 17-, or 18-inch wheels as well as ten exterior colors. These clear-coat colors include Black, Granite Crystal Metallic, Sting-Gray, Slate Blue Pearl-Coat, Jetset Blue, Bikini Metallic, Colorado Red, Omaha Orange, Glacier Metallic, and Alpine White.

The new Bronco Sport rides on the same architecture as the Escape crossover. Whether or not the Bronco Sport comes with several engine options and the option between a front-wheel-drive or an all-wheel-drive platform isn't a problem anymore. Every Bronco Sport comes standard with 4WD. We expected to see a 1.5-liter three-cylinder and 2.0-liter turbo-four, and that's what we got. Choose between the 181-hp 1.5L EcoBoost with 190 lb-ft. of torque or the 245-hp 2.0L EcoBoost with 275 lb-ft. of torque. Both engines are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. As expected, there is also speculation of a hybrid powertrain in the future for more fuel efficiency. This would make sense as the Escape also has hybrid and PHEV variants.

The 2021 Jeep Renegade comes with a 180-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. There is an optional 177-horsepower 1.3-liter turbo-four. Both of these engines are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

2021 Bronco Sport Off-Road Capability

The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is made to be taken off-road and will come equipped with plenty of features that ensure a smooth, enjoyable ride. There have been some rumors about a Baby Bronco Raptor down the line, but we can't confirm this information. Nonetheless, the Bronco Sport will be more off-road capable overall than the Renegade.

All Jeep Renegade models are made to handle off-road terrain, but the Trailhawk trim is designed especially for adventures. This Jeep SUV comes with tow hooks, four-wheel-drive, a traction management system, a higher ride height, skid plates, and all-terrain tires.

2021 Ford Bronco Safety & Reliability

While neither the Baby Bronco nor full-size Bronco has undergone any safety tests yet, and it may be some time before that occurs, we can guarantee that there will be plenty of assist-technology. Look for safety features such as adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, and the Ford CoPilot360 driver-assist tech bundle.

2021 Jeep Renegade Safety & Reliability

While there are no safety ratings on the new 2021 model yet, the 2020 Jeep Renegade only received a four-star rating from the NHTSA. Furthermore, the Jeep Renegade only comes standard with a rearview camera, leaving all other advanced safety features as optional equipment or standard on higher-end trim levels.
