The 2023 Ford Expedition Max measures 222″ L x 80″ W x 76″ H, which is 12" longer than the standard SUV. You can also customize the Ford SUV with 18" to 22" wheels, along with seven paint options. 

Interior Design & Seating

There are several ways to configure the 2023 Ford Expedition. A two-row model provides space for five occupants, while a three-row Expedition has room for either seven or eight people.

Infotainment & Features

The 2023 Ford Expedition comes standard with a 12" touch screen. This system pairs with the standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, four USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, and a six-speaker audio system.

Cargo Capacity

The 2023 Ford Expedition Max holds more cargo than the standard SUV. Behind the third row, there are 36 cubic feet available. With the back seat folded down, there are 79.6 cubic feet, while the entire back of the Expedition Max measures 121.5 cubic feet. 

Towing Capacity

When properly equipped, the 2023 Ford Expedition Max tows up to 9,000 pounds, which is only three hundred pounds less than the standard Expedition lineup.

Drivetrain & Suspension

The 2023 Ford Expedition Max has a standard rear-wheel drive configuration. If you prefer more capability, you can upgrade to all-wheel drive.

Engine

The 2023 Ford Expedition Max comes standard with a 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 rated for 380 horsepower. Other variants produce either 400 or 440 horsepower. 

Performance & MPG

The RWD Expedition Max earns 17/23 mpg. If you prefer the AWD variant, you will only see a slight drop to 16/23 mpg.

Safety Features

The 2023 Ford Expedition includes standard blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights, and rear-cross traffic alert. It also has rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and a rearview camera.
