Notes from the dealer
Under the hood, the Escape SEL features a Duratec 2.5L I-4 DOHC engine that delivers a robust 165HP and is paired with a smooth 2-speed CVT. This combination ensures a seamless driving experience, prioritizing fuel efficiency without compromising performance. One of the standout features of this hybrid is Smart Device Mirroring, which allows drivers to control their smartphones through the vehicles infotainment system, making it easier to access essential apps while keeping focus on the road.
Safety is paramount in the 2022 Ford Escape, equipped with cutting-edge technology that enhances the driving experience. The Adaptive Cruise Control with Traffic Stop-Go feature automatically adjusts your speed according to the traffic flow, keeping you at a safe distance from other vehicles. Complementing this is the Hands-On Cruise Control that helps maintain lane positioning, allowing for a more relaxed driving experience during long trips.
The Escape also excels in accident prevention with features like Forward Collision Mitigation and Front Pedestrian Impact Prevention. The forward collision mitigation system is proactive, preparing the vehicle for potential impacts to reduce accident severity. Meanwhile, the pedestrian impact prevention system continuously monitors the road, detecting pedestrians and taking necessary action to avert collisions.
Additional safety features such as Lane Departure Prevention and Brake Assist further enhance security. Lane Departure Prevention helps keep the vehicle within its designated lane, minimizing the risk of unintended lane changes. In emergency situations, Brake Assist provides a boost to stopping power, ensuring drivers are ready to respond to unexpected obstacles.
The rear camera significantly improves visibility while reversing, making it easier to navigate tight spaces. The Power Open and Close Liftgate is a thoughtful addition, allowing easy access to the cargo area, especially when hands are full.
In summary, the 2022 Ford Escape SEL Plug-In Hybrid, with its robust safety features and innovative technology, sets a high standard for hybrid vehicles. Whether commuting or on road trips, this SUV is designed to meet various needs with style and efficiency. For anyone considering a new hybrid SUV, the Escape is undoubtedly worth considering!

My Ford Escape is reliable and gets good mileage. I like driving this car because it drives like a car. I would buy an Escape again if only Ford did not stop production of this car. - 4.0
Great car

We have had our escape hybrid 5 years. I tell my friends you get free oil changes, tires and brake work for the life of the car. That's how much the savings in fuel amounts too! We drive 10,000 miles a year which add to the savings. The seats could be softer and ride smoother otherwise a great car! - 5.0

Owned my Escape PHEv. for 6 months now. Not one visit to the dealer! Great gas mileage, and even better when using the Plug in daily.
